Driver safety briefing

Our marshals will brief you before your session. Get familiar here beforehand. You must obey marshals and flags at all times. Following our track rules reduces risks to nearly zero.

Marshalls

You might be pulled over
for following reasons:
Aggressive behaviour on the track towards your own safety and other drivers, marshals and track visitors
Because of a problem with the kart
To help improve your driving
Yellow: Slow down.
No overtaking - accident ahead.
Red: Stop immediately
Accident ahead.
Chequered: Session has ended.
Slow down and return to Pits Slowly.
Weather conditions
Slow down and brake smoothly to avoid spinning off track.
If you go off, check for a clear path before returning. Raise your hand for marshal assistance if needed.
Rain or snow makes the track very slippery.
Non-contact sport
Repeat that behaviour and your session ends. Mistreating racers, visitors, or staff is unacceptable.
Athboy Karting Centre won't tolerate bumping or blocking. If it happens, a marshal will stop you for advice or a warning.

Use the red pedal before the corner and drive around the corner at a speed you can control. Learn more about karting techniques and tips

Our track welcomes kart and pit bike owners for weekend or weekday testing, ideal for sharpening skills and preparing for the big race. Bring your best and push your limits!
Ideal for small groups or solo runs, you can still join a shared track. A regular, straightforward karting session format. Hone your skills, master the track, and improve your lap times, with printed lap times for each group.
Suitable for 8 or more people. Larger groups are split into sub-groups and the winners compete for the trophy.
