Marshals control the track. Follow their instructions and flags at all times.

Karting at Athboy is non-contact.
Do not deliberately bump, block or push another kart.

Leave enough space, brake before corners and avoid unnecessary skidding.
Drive Within Control
Slow down, stop or return to the pits when instructed.
Watch the Flags
Unsafe or aggressive behaviour towards drivers, marshals, staff or visitors is not accepted.
Respect Everyone

Track Flags
The main flags are explained again during your safety briefing.
CHEQUERED FLAG
Slow down and return to the pits carefully.
Your session has finished.
RED FLAG
Follow the marshal's instructions and remain in your kart unless told otherwise.
Stop immediately.
YELLOW FLAG
There may be an incident or obstruction ahead. Reduce your speed and be ready to stop.
Slow down. No overtaking.

Watch the track, other drivers and marshal signals — not just the kart directly in front of you.

Why a Marshal May Stop You
Always follow marshal instructions
Being called into the pits does not always mean you have done something wrong.
Follow the Marshal
Only rejoin the circuit when it is safe and you are told to do so.
Do Not Walk Across the Track
Remain with the kart and wait for instructions.
Stay in your kart
Unless a marshal tells you to get out.
Raise Your Hand
This lets the marshals know you need help.
STAY IN CONTROL
If You Stop or Leave the Track
Do not:
Repeated or dangerous behaviour can end your session.
A marshal may stop you to give advice or a warning.

Outdoor karting can continue in many wet conditions, but grip is reduced.

Bringing Your Own Kart or Pitbike?
Drivers are responsible for arriving with suitable equipment and a track-ready vehicle.
Owner testing is separate from rental karting sessions.
Track time for privately owned karts and pitbikes must be arranged in advance.
